Memories Flamenco Resort – Review May 2017

Arrival May 12th – Departure May 19th 2017

Traveled with hubby and son.

Cayo CoCo Airport

This was a small airport and going through customs was a breeze! It was short and sweet! The bus transfer to hotel from Airport was about a 20 minute drive.

I was expecting to be wowed actually as many of my friends have been here and stated it was really beautiful. Well all we saw was high bushes that kind of obscured the ocean views.

Check-in

The process took longer than the bus ride. Only one staff member was working at the reception upon our arrival. Another counter was for Diamond Club members only and they had two staff worker there. Their line up was far less than ours.

Best bday ever – CUBA! Si! (2016)

My birthday was last month and because it was my “milestone” birthday, (which I’m not going to say the number out loud!)  my husband, brought me to Cuba! Well, I was hell excited when he told me two days before we were to leave, for me to book anywhere I wanted to, so I picked Cuba. As a sun seeker, follower, sun lover, of course, I picked Cuba. We’ve been there before as a family, but this time, it was just us!

I had the best birthday ever! I was hell excited and couldn’t get over the fact that I had two days in Toronto and then off to sunshiney days, just like that!

We stayed at Iberostar Varadero Resort Hotel and from the moment I stepped foot into the lobby, I was in love. The pool was amazing and just a few steps from the lobby. It was massive and just beautiful!

There were lounge chairs throughout that was empty and ready for the taking. The resort at the time we were there, wasn’t crowded.

The beach was even better, no rocks or pebbles underneath your feet as you made your way into the water. It was heaven, and like I said, plenty of Palapas to enjoy your time and take in the rays and suntan all day long. There is a bar, right directly behind the chairs and was so convenient when you want to grab a quick lunch. The array of food they had, you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Florida Keys/Miami Vac 2016

So, we got back from our family vacation last month from Florida Keys/Miami and wow was it ever beautiful. I am never disappointed when I step onto Florida soil. The beautiful rays of Florida sunshine just really make me so happy.  Really, why wouldn’t make it you happy? The keys are spectacular with the view of the ocean where ever you turn. We rented a vacation home by the canal at the Key Colony Beach in Marathon, Florida Keys. From the kitchen, as I/we prepared breakfast you can see boats of all sizes float lazily by. It was awesome to witness that right from your kitchen slash dining room slash living room… It was amazing…!
