Today is Saturday and I am helllll happy! Why? Cuz it’s Saturday, no work, no hitting the snooze button on that stinking alarm to my left on my end table, and it’s a beautiful sunshiny day! God, I love the sun, the vibrancy of it, the feeling of aliveness when it fills my house. All the curtains are wide open, my bay windows radiate all this lovely glow of brightness and so does my kitchen and my dining room and living room windows, I am in la la land. The Sunshine transforms me into a whole new human being.
It gives me so much energy and life, I want to go outside and do cartwheels and behave like a 12-year-old. That wouldn’t be a good idea though, as the neighbors would probably think I’ve gone off the deep end, so uh, nah. Hehehehe. I love the sunshine. When I’m on vacation, I’m the first one up, open the curtains and jump on the bed and wake up my husband and say ‘come on let’s go, let’s go, the sun is up, let’s not waste it’! As he looks up at me and gives me that: are you crazy look and glances at the clock as it glares back at him with the big 6:00 am reading in bold, hehehehe. Then I pick up the phone, call the kids in the room down the hall from us, and do the same thing and who ever answers would, of course, give me the same response: “what? are you crazy? mom, it’s 6! no you guys go, bye” I know, I was reaching, but its worth a try isn’t it? I hate to waste the sun, especially while your on vacation, my goodness, who the heck does that?? Who wants to sleep the whole morning, while the glorious sun is begging you to come out and enjoy its awesomeness day, go and laze by the pool, take a walk by the beach, go shopping at the market, zip line in the highest peak in Negril, go ride the Cable car in Puerto Plata, go through horrific disgusting god awful mud on a Dune Buggy in Punta Cana, it’s goddamn amazing ! I say, never waste the sunshine while on vacation. Okay so back here in the T.dot I got kind of carried away on vacation mode. Sorry about that.
