One King West Hotel & Residence Review April 2019

For my husband’s birthday, I booked this hotel for our one night stay.

This hotel which is located in the financial district in downtown Toronto in the corner of King & Yonge Street is grandeur and beautiful.  The hotel from the outside is very unassuming but as soon as you pull open those big glass doors, it’s a whole new world inside.

Upon entrance, to the right you will find their bar fully stocked and inviting, to your left is a quaint dining area, and dead on center are beautiful and elegant chandeliers hanging so lovely from the ceiling. You can see how this was an actual bank transformed into a hotel, so beautifully done!

We were greeted promptly and were given our room within seconds. Seriously, I mean literally, seconds!

Our room was on the 42nd floor and I was already in heaven, I just love being up so high. Our view had both of two worlds; city and partial lake view. We were so fine with that. The view was awesome during the afternoon, at night was even more spectacular!

Port Cunnington Lodge & Resort Review – July 2018

Port Cunnington Lodge & Resort

1679 Port Cunnington Rd

Lake of Bays Dwight, ON

June 29th – July 2nd 2018

I booked this resort along with my husband to enjoy togetherness, for the Canada Day long weekend.

The road to this place was a long and windy route. Upon turning left into the resort, you are greeted with beautiful mature trees and the lake ahead of you.  The reception welcomes you to your left.

My first impression: “this is hell cute”! My husband barely stopped the car while I practically jumped out.

I took a big happy and contented sigh, upon stepping onto the gravel of this beautiful property.

I was checked in by a young lad who was friendly. The process was completed lickety-split and with the room key and a map of the resort, off we went.

This place is quiet and with a calm and sit back atmosphere.

The lake was so inviting with canoes, kayaks and paddle boards tempting you to take it onto the water.

Hotel Roc Barlovento (Cuba) – Review June 2018

Hotel Roc Barlovento

Located at the beginning of Varadero Strip

June 8th – June 12th, 2018

My girlfriend Fernanda and I arrived around 11:30 pm and my first impression of this hotel at night was a disappointing one. It was small, simple, basic and very unassuming. The reception desk to the left looked outdated and the bar to the right was crowded and the air was stale and full of smoke. People milled around the bar and smokers filled all the lounge chairs and tables that were available.

Check-in, was painfully slow, as the gentleman, registered us. He was pleasant enough and described where all the facilities were located, as he handed me the resort map.

It took a while to finally head to our rooms.

The bellboy helped us with our bags, which I was totally grateful for.
