In honor of Self-Care Day:
There are many days when we have hard days.
Days when we feel we have unraveled so much that, we’re afraid we won’t be able to pull ourselves back together again.
Days when we have fallen so deep that the light above us gets further away from us.
Days when we can’t get out of bed because we are numb, we just don’t have the will, we just don’t want to.
But we do.
It’s called STRENGTH.
The power within us, to try again, to muster every courage,
every energy we have left;
because we are fighters.
The beauty of self-care is that we have the power to self-recognize our own symptoms.
We know our own bodies, know when we are falling, know when we are slipping, we recognize the signs and therefore are able to self-help.
I know from my own experience that this is one amazing part of me that I have learned to perfect, as a person who has gone through depression.
It is pretty daunting to admit to sayingย “I have perfected the experience of knowing the signs” of when I am falling or slipping; but hey, it is what it is, and I am sharing with you only the truth and hoping to give you insight from someone who’s gone through mental health.
Get to know yourself.
Know your triggers.
Take yourself away from them as quickly as possible.
Seek professional help, and most importantly, do many many SELF-CARE MOMENTS.
Remember:
Know your self-worth!
Love yourself
You are stronger than you give yourself credit for
Don’t take shit
Let things go, you cannot change
Go where you feel happy
Go where the mind calms you
Just don’t be good to other’s, be good to yourself too
Whatever lifts the corners of your mouth, trust that
Strength grows in the moments when you think you can’t go on, but you keep going on anyways
Final Thoughts
Nobody can love you any better, than you.
Appreciate the morals you value
Appreciate what you like and what you don’t like and move on.
Realize you are beautiful inside and out and that you are unique and nobody can replicate you.
When you realize that, the sense of calmness that takes over your soul, body, and mental state, is damn beautiful.
Happy Self-Care Day my beautiful peoples!
