Cactus Club Cafe Restaurant Review 2017

77 Adelaide Street West, Toronto, ON

Went to this awesome restaurant for my son’s birthday dinner in July.  Cactus Club is located in the downtown core of Toronto area. This place is amazing!

Ambiance

Upon arrival, their beautiful and inviting spacious patio decorated with bright yellow umbrellas was a welcoming greeting, I was already excited to enter the premises.

This restaurant consists of 3 floors: Street level gorgeous patio, 2nd floor is main dining room which is enclosed and lastly, the trendy and vibrant 3rd floor which is rooftop dining.

This place is upscale, clubby style restaurant. Full of lovely good looking people, lively, music blasting in the background. It has a feel good, fun atmosphere.

When the elevators opened, the scene was amazing. Music blasting ,a bubble machine spewed bubbles into the air, floating helplessly into the gorgeous windy &  sunny sky, servers busy, customers engaged in excited conversations. This place is awesome!

Staff/Service

The servers were good looking, but I found that their attitude didn’t match the aura of this place. They exuded holier than thou, snobby persona’s and not one of them said ‘excuse me’ as they passed our group and other people, a thousand times, waiting by the elevators to be seated. The bouncer as well, looked strict and unapproachable. No hello when we stepped out of the elevator. So with this being said, the 1st impression of the staff has a low rating for me. I think they need a quick re-training; perhaps from Joey’s chain of restaurants?

Our server, she was pleasant though, and attentive. So at least we weren’t disappointed with her service.
